Vancouver Wendu Education is one of the largest Education institutions in the Great Vancouver area, with 2 K-12 learning centers:

• Burnaby Academy: in Burnaby Metro-town, close to Royal Oak sky train station
• Coquitlam Academy: In Coquitlam Town Center, close to Coquitlam Lincoln sky train station.

We are looking for the K-12 teachers or tutors in the following classes:

• English public speaking &debating ( teaching debating & public speaking experience, native speaker)
• Experienced SSAT, SAT teachers , Reading & creative Writing for Grade3-12, English Literature
• MATH: SSAT math , Waterloo Math Contest, Singapore Math
• French : Majored in French literature from France
• ELL /IELTS Teacher
• Creative experienced Arts teacher
• G12 English provincial test
• High School Science Teachers

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing effective classroom instruction for students
• Working closely with other instructors to ensure a consistent teaching approach
• Conducting classroom assignments and exams
• Being responsible for the grading, record-keeping and progress reports of each student enrolled in his/her class.
• Contributing towards existing curriculum and lesson-plan development
• Meeting with the students on an individual basis to progress and skill level
• Encouraging self-confidence in students and providing them with the support they need during their learning experience

Qualifications and Skills

• A teaching certificate combined with at least 3 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language to adult learners, and/or test preparation for English proficiency exams such as IELTS.
• For teaching English, we prefer English literature education background , native speaker , TEFL,TESOL certificate
• Must know the subject thoroughly and be able to teach effectively
• At least with a Bachelor's degree
• Teaching experience is a huge asset
• Enjoy working with children and teenagers
• Punctual, honest, organized, goal oriented
• For SAT/SSAT classes , teachers must have SAT/SSAT teaching experience
• For Public Speaking and Debating classes, we are looking for very experienced teachers with passionate who could lead students to attend all kinds of contest and tournament

Work Hours:

One course session is usually 1-2 hours long and it takes place between:

• 3:30 PM -- 9:00 PM Weekdays
• 9:00 AM -- 8:00 PM Weekend

Location:

• Coquitlam Campus (In Coquitlam Town Center, close to Coquitlam Lincoln sky train station)
• Burnaby Campus (in Burnaby Metro-town, close to Royal Oak sky train station)

Benefits

Monthly salary or $25-$30 per hour depending on experience

Job Type:

• Part-time, with chances in turning into full-time.
